Open Positions

Le Petit Curl Concept is seeking an experienced Salon Coordinator who is professionally prepared to dive into managing operations of a high-volume salon on day one. At Le Petit Curl Concept we focus exclusively on curly and textured hair. Our goal is to help clients fall in love with their curls, celebrating what we like to call “Curl Power”.

In this role, you will be required to manage client appointments, supervise and coordinate staff members, greet and interact with clients, and oversee the daily activities to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the salon. Ideal candidates have excellent organization skills and customer service skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Professionals in the beauty and wellness industry with similar experience are welcome to apply.

Salon Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Greeting and welcoming clients. Tending to client complaints and questions.

  • Coordinating staff shifts and cleaning schedules.

  • Training staff on new systems and policies.

  • Managing point of sale (POS) system and cloud-based appointment book.

  • Managing the ordering and stock control of supplies, including consumables, office supplies, and sales products.

  • Meeting with the management team to develop operational, sales, and marketing strategies.

  • Ensure that the salon is kept clean and organized.

  • Enforcing all health and safety regulations and protocols.

What would make the ideal Salon Coordinator?

  • Passion for natural curly and textured hair.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 2+ years’ experience working as a salon coordinator, preferably at least 12 months at one salon or salon group supervising appointment schedules, booking appointments, coordinating staff members schedules, and managing inventory and daily operations.

  • Highly organized and professional, skilled in managing people, appointments, and inventory.

  • Experience with cloud-based salon scheduling tools (Square Appointments, Vagaro, Mindbody etc.).

  • Has the demonstrated ability and experience to work efficiently in a busy salon. Possesses the ability to remain calm under pressure. Works well independently and with minimal oversight.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills:

o   Enjoys working with the public.

o   Naturally outgoing and welcoming of clients.

o   Can effectively communicate with all personality types.

o   Has a professional and diplomatic demeanor.

o   Ability to resolve conflict effectively and productively.

Curl Concept Stylist

Are you an experience hair stylist with a passion for curly and textured hair? Do you love the art of applying hair color? You’re in luck. Le Petit Salon Curl Concept is looking to hire trained stylists who passionate about by helping clients to achieve beautiful curls. Our goal is to help clients fall in love with their curls by teaching them the art of styling curly hair. You will not only cut, style, and/or color hair, you will also teach people how to love their curls.

Ideal candidates are motivated, professional, creative, and friendly with a passion for curly hair. You have good communication skills, love working with clients, and a have demonstrable willingness to learn. You will not only work to style curly hair, but you will also have the opportunity to shape the culture of a growing salon. Come build your client base and future with us!

Curl Concept Stylist Responsibilities

  • Perform client consultations, including understanding your client's needs and concerns related to the service booked.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, establishing your own customer base.

  • Cut, style, treat, and process client’s hair during scheduled and walk-in appointments. Maintaining excellent time management skills, by starting and finishing services within the allotted and scheduled time.

  • Maintain a clean working space.

  • Educate clients on techniques, trends, and products.

  • Support and back up stylists as needed (e.g. finish drying a client’s hair). Le Petit Curl Concept has a strong team culture.

  • Attend continuing education (in-house and off site) as required to build your Curl Concept skill set.

  • Participate in marketing events, promotions, and other activities, including salon events and maintaining an active social media presence (e.g. taking before and after pictures of clients’ hair and posting them to social media).

What would make a perfect Curl Concept Stylist?

  • Passion for all things curly hair.

  • At least 2 years cutting and styling hair. Preferably curly and textured hair. Experience with applying hair color (Goldwell, Olaplex, Topchic, Nectaya) using a variety of application techniques is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. Friends would describe you as a people person. Clients would describe you as enthusiastic and easy going. You would say you are friendly, outgoing, and professional.

  • Works well under pressure. Has excellent time management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a busy salon where you could have back-to-back appointments. Ability to maintain a calm presence.

  • Highly organized and professional. Keeps a clean and organized work environment.

Curl Concept apprentice / junior stylist

Are you a newly licensed hair stylist with a passion for curly and textured hair? Do you want to start your career off at a modern and established salon? You’re in luck. Le Petit Salon Curl Concept is looking to hire a Curl Concept Apprentice / Junior Stylist who is excited to hone their skills as a curly haired stylist. Our goal is to help clients fall in love with their curls by teaching them the art of styling curly hair.

This is an entry level position. Ideal candidates are new graduates of a hair academy or stylist with up to 2 years of experience. You must be motivated, professional, creative, and friendly with a passion for curly hair. You have good communication skills, love working with clients, and a have demonstrable willingness to learn.
